Susan D’souza is a textile artist and teacher from West Sussex.

Creating mixed media textile art incorporating appliqué, embroidery, hand painted batik and sustainable materials and practices including natural dyeing. Susan creates one of a kind pieces inspired by Sussex landscapes and gardens.

Reflecting the transient shifts in the changing seasons and the impact these have on the landscape, her artworks evoke a sense of peace and calm in the viewer.

Having spent many years teaching at degree level, she has an intimate understanding of her craft, and this is clearly evident in her approach and the exquisite detail rendered in each finished piece.
